The planning committee for RCE Saskatchewan’s 11th annual Education for Sustainable Development Recognition Event is pleased to announce that this year’s event will take place on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at the Hannin Creek Education and Applied Research Centre on the shores of Candle Lake. The Centre is a partnership of Saskatchewan Polytechnic and the Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation. It is the only boreal forest field station in Saskatchewan.
The day promises to be very exciting. In addition to the recognition awards, Saskatchewan Polytechnic, our community host, is planning a very interactive and interesting afternoon featuring its campus and the applied research being done through its diverse sustainability programs just as forestry, fisheries, wildlife, conservation law, and environmental, civil and water resources engineering technology.
Applications for the recognition awards will be available next month, January, 2019. The deadline for applications will be March 31, 2019.
Please consider joining us at Hannin Creek Education and Applied Research Centre on May 8, 2019. In early May the campus will be beautiful and, as always, we expect the Recognition Event to be an inspiring and hope-filled event.
