RCE Saskatchewan held its 13th annual Education for Sustainable Development Recognition Event Wednesday, May 12, 2021, recognizing sustainability initiatives from school divisions, post-secondary institutions and diverse groups such as Ducks Unlimited, Citizens Environmental Alliance, Canadian Wildlife Federation and others. The host for the 2021 Recognition Event was the Saskatchewan Environmental Society, which works towards environmental sustainability through public education, policy development, and community events. Since 2008, the annual RCE Saskatchewan Recognition Event has honoured local individuals, groups and organizations that have made innovative achievements in education and build capacity for Saskatchewan to work toward the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (2015 – 2030). Held in a different community each year, the event shines a spotlight on projects from across the province.
