2022 Award Recipients

On Wednesday, May 4, for the 14th consecutive year, RCE Saskatchewan recognized sustainable development achievements in Saskatchewan. Awards were presented to 26 initiatives that further the UN Global Sustainable Development Goals.  View the ceremony on video on our You Tube channel and the CTV News Story.

The Royal Saskatchewan Museum in Regina hosted the awards ceremony, with RCE Saskatchewan’s Patron, His Honour the Honourable Russ Mirasty, Lieutenant Governor of Saskatchewan, in attendance.

The projects educate, encourage, and engage others in local action that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. 

RCE Co-Coordinator, Dr. Roger Petry, is proud of the fact that more than 200 initiatives have been recognized since their inception in 2008. “These recipients are incredibly innovative and their impact is significant. Recognizing them and helping them share their learnings is critical to a sustainable future in Saskatchewan. We can all be very proud of what is happening right here in our province.”

Pop-up Bike Co-op is a place where bike owners can come and learn how to fix and maintain their bikes. It's an event tent where people can get education and coaching on bike tools and repair stands.
