2021: Hosted by the Saskatchewan Environmental Society

The 13th Annual Event was hosted virtually by the Saskatchewan Environmental Society (SES) on May 12 2021. Founded in 1970, SES works towards environmental sustainability through public education, policy development, and community events.

2020: Hosted by the First Nations University of Canada

Originally planned to be held at the First Nations University of Canada Regina Campus, the 2020RCE Saskatchewan’s Education for Sustainable Development Recognition Event was instead held on May 13, 2020 as a virtual event in light of the COVID-19 Pandemic.  

2019: Hosted by Hannin Creek Education & Applied Research Centre, Saskatchewan Polytechnic

With the theme Sustainable Partnerships: Nurturing the Next Generation of Land Stewards, the event took place on Wednesday, May 8, 2019, at the Hannin Creek Education and Applied Research Centre on the shores of Candle Lake. Saskatchewan’s only boreal field station, the Centre is a partnership of Saskatchewan Polytechnic and the Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation.   Click here for the videos of the ceremony and keynote presentation.

2017 RCE SK Awards, Redberry Biosphere Tour

The Redberry Lake Biosphere Region, a UNESCO designated biosphere since 2000, has a mandate of conservation, sustainable development and capacity building is accomplished through collaboration and partnerships at the local, provincial, national and international levels. They partner with businesses, governments, and local organizations to achieve these goals throughout the region.
